Oxmoor Homes is a real estate investment and management company based in Birmingham, AL. We are based in Birmingham and focused on Birmingham. All of our investments are located within the Birmingham metro area.
Our focus is on residential real estate, including single family homes, townhouses, and multi-family apartment homes. We seek to invest in quality areas within the metro area, always with the goal of adding value. Typically, we will purchase a property, perform a rehab on the property, and lease to long-term tenants. We seek to hold properties for the long term.
Our main goals in dealing with property sellers and real estate agents are simple: (1) be easy to work with, (2) be straightforward and transparent, and (3) make the transaction as easy as possible.
A typical deal structure is simple: all cash purchase, quick close, no required improvements for the seller to make, clean offers (no contingencies except inspection). We seek to make purchases as easy as possible for the seller.
We believe in Birmingham.
We believe in Birmingham – both as it is today and what it will become. We believe in the growth of the area for three primary reasons.
First, Birmingham has a strong base of businesses. Our core industries are healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing. While we continue to see growth in these areas, we are also seeing growth in startup companies and technology companies.
Second, Birmingham is attractive to companies not already based here. We have seen national and global companies coming to Alabama for its comparatively favorable tax structures and its relatively low cost of living. In addition to these factors, we have a highly educated workforce, with great universities within the metro area (University of Alabama at Birmingham, Samford University, Birmingham Southern, and Montevallo) and two nationally-recognized public universities close by (Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa).
Third, Birmingham offers people a great place to live. Our city is a great place to raise a family; it is a great place to start a career; it is a great place to have a career; and it is a great place to retire. We have warm weather, excellent public school systems, a relatively low cost of living, nationally-recognized restaurants, great music and theater, and really nice people. People who visit for the first time are surprised at how beautiful the area is with our mountains, downtown, and greenspaces.
